How Do I.....?

  • Access Library Resources?
    The library uses a proxy server to authenticate students into library resources. This page provides a troubleshooting section for when problems arise.
  • Renew a Book?
    Follow the link and log in with your name and ID number (with "cc" on the end) to extend the due date of the items you have checked out.
  • Cite a Source?
    Click on the link to be taken to our guide that will help with MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian formats.
  • Reserve a Study Room?
    Stafford Library has several study rooms that can be reserved for group study or class presentation practice.
  • Get a Library Card?
    Your Columbia College ID card is used as your library card. Follow the link to find out how to obtain an ID card.
  • Scan Something in the Library?
    Stafford Library has a flatbed scanner as well as two copiers that can scan.
  • Print from my Laptop?
    The library has a small wireless printer that is available, however, you will have to download the printer driver to your laptop. Click on the link for details.
  • View My Library Account and What I have Checked Out?
    Follow the link and log in with your name and ID number (with "cc" on the end).
  • Suggest an Item for Purchase?
    Follow the link to submit suggestions for additions to the library collection. It could be a book, journal, database, video, album, or just about anything that you think would benefit the Columbia College community.
  • Find out about New Books in the Library?
    Connect to a listing of the new items the library has acquired over the past several months.
  • Find Career Information?
    Visit the Columbia College Grossnickle Career Services Center for help with resumes and job searches. Browse a job posting system that is exclusive to Columbia College students and alumni.
  • Find Information on Graduate Programs?
    Visit the Columbia College Graduate Studies program website.
