United States Presidential Elections Research: Find Articles

This guide will assist students in finding information about historical presidential elections since 1876 in the United States

Selected Article Searches

You can start with searching for the key words on your topic such as presidential campaign Ronald Reagan.  Then limit to full text, peer reviewed articles. Then look at the subjects in some of the articles for limiting or expanding your search.

You can search for a specific president by using the subject search:

  1. Presidents - United States - Election - (and the election date)
  2. Limit to full text, and peer reviewed by checking the boxes under Limit To.
  3. Review your results. You can email or print the articles.
