How do I Find Peer Reviewed Articles?: Request an Article

This guide is will help you understand peer review and how to find scholarly articles in EBSCOhost databases.

How to request articles not found in our databases

You can request interlibrary loan articles if you are a Columbia College student, staff, or faculty in the continental United States. See the directions below and contact us if you have any questions.

Request It!

"Request It" is Columbia College's interlibrary loan service. If you are unable to locate a particular item in either the Columbia College Catalog, the MOBIUS Catalog or by using the search feature on the Find E-Journals tab, please feel free to request it via the following link. The library will then try to obtain the material for you.

Please note: This service currently does not operate on the weekends.  You may still make requests, however they will not be submitted until the following Monday. Please expect article requests to take an average of 3 days and requests for books, videos, etc., generally take 2 to 4 weeks.

Request It! is currently unable to accept requests for video and music formats.  Users CAN make requests for journal articles and books. Please contact the library directly if there is a film or other audio/visual format you would like to request in the meantime and we will be happy to assist you!
