The MOBIUS catalog is a consortium catalog comprised of holdings from almost all academic libraries in Missouri, several Missouri public libraries, special libraries, and the Missouri State Library. There are also libraries in other states.
Who can request books from MOBIUS? Columbia College students, staff, and faculty who are affiliated with a Columbia College campus in Missouri can request books and pick them up at a nearby MOBIUS library.
How to Request Books from the MOBIUS Consortium:
- Search the MOBIUS catalog at https://openrs.searchmobius.org/search
- Browse your results and click on the title you want to request.
- Scroll down to the list of owning libraries to see if there are copies available.
- Click on the “Place a hold” link.
- Click on the “sign in” link.
- From the drop-down menu, choose “Columbia College” and click on “Continue.”
- If prompted, enter your “last name, first name” and your college ID number followed by “cc.” (Example: 1234567cc)
- Click on the “Place a hold” link again.
- “CCIS Stafford Library” will show as your pickup location.
- Click on “place hold.”
- The message “Hold has been placed” appears on the screen. Click on “close.”
- You will get an email in your Cougar account when your requested item is at the Stafford Library of Columbia College. It usually takes 3-5 business days from the date of your request for the book to arrive.
