About the Article Quick Search

The Article Quick Search can be an excellent way to get started on a research project:

  • Retrieves results from more than 20 EBSCOhost company databases.
  • Search results include articles from newspapers, magazines, academic and professional journals and other sources.
  • Search results include full-text articles but also items that are not immediately available in full text.

Note that the quick search provides results from less than half of the total number of databases to which Stafford Library subscribes. We recommend using the Article Quick Search as only a first step in exploring a research topic. For in-depth results, search individual databases directly.

Wall Street Journal

Wall Street Journal articles are not retrievable via the "Article Quick Search" box at the top of this page.  So, you need to search the Wall Street Journal database separately for articles on the company you are researching.

An effective way to find articles on a particular company is to:

  • Click on the "Advanced Search" link to the right of the search bar.
  • Type the name of the company in the second search bar and then drop down the "anywhere" menu to the right of that and click on "Company/organization -- COMPANY."
  • Click on "search."
  • Use the limiters in the left column to narrow down your results.
